Robo, Ami a Pip stoja v tajnej kruhovej archívnej miestnosti plnej hviezdneho prachu a hologramov.

LED očká mu prebehli do čiarok, čo znamenalo sústredenie.

Dve mapy, dva poriadky

„Jasné,“ prikývol Robo. „Vyzerali skoro rovnako.“

No malá odchýlka sa objavila presne tam, kde satelitné údaje ukazovali slabšie svetlo a posun v čase.

To zmenilo poradie.“

„Radšej to overme.“

„Ja porovnám mapový vzor so satelitným záznamom.

„Aha,“ zamrmlal Robo.

„A jeden druhému,“ doplnila Ami.

Toto bolo to najdôležitejšie. Keď si svoje pozorovania povedali nahlas, celá skladačka začala dávať zmysel. Nie rýchlo, ale presne. Nie podľa dohadu, ale podľa faktov. A práve to bola sila ich tímu.

„Skúsme to znova,“ povedal Robo tentoraz oveľa pokojnejšie.

„Potvrdzujem zhodu.

Ami si zahryzla do pery. „Alebo sa to stalo zámerne. A nie náhodou.“

Pipovi LED očká prebehli do mierne zaobleného tvaru, čo znamenalo premýšľanie.

„Dobrá práca,“ povedala pokojne, no jasne. „Neponáhľali ste sa, keď to bolo dôležité. Overili ste si dáta.“

Robo sa trochu narovnal. Pochvala od kapitánky preňho vždy znamenala veľa. „Skoro som to pokazil,“ priznal.

„A potom si sa zastavil,“ odvetila Lira. „To je rovnako dôležité ako správna odpoveď.“

Nová cesta mimo hry

Ami sa usmiala. „Pomohlo, že sme si veci povedali nahlas.“

„Presne,“ súhlasila veliteľka. „Dôvera v tíme neznamená veriť prvému dojmu. Znamená to počúvať aj tichšie upozornenia.“

Pip zrazu vydal krátke pípnutie. „Mám ešte jeden signál.“

Všetci sa otočili k nemu. Malý robot premietol do vzduchu tenkú vlnku svetla.

A ak áno, budete musieť zistiť, kam tá stopa vedie. Nie dnes narýchlo. Najprv bezpečne a presne.“

Robo si vložil ruky do vreciek oranžovej bundy a pozrel na fragment kľúča. Už nepôsobil netrpezlivo. Skôr odhodlane. „Tak zistíme, kam ukazuje ten signál.“

„Spolu,“ dodala Ami.

A prečo?

Robo and the Lost Planet, part 5: The Stardust Key

The Room That Wakes Up

Inside the old educational game, there was a silence that seemed to be waiting for the right touch. When Robo, Ami, and Pip connected to the familiar program again, they expected another simple puzzle. Instead, something new opened before them: a hidden round room full of soft stardust. It sparkled in the air like a thousand tiny lights and reflected off the smooth floor in blue and gold spots.

"This is amazing," Robo breathed, and his eyes lit up. The stardust reflections shone on his orange smart jacket, and his wrist hologram device blinked softly. "I’ve never seen this place before."

Ami looked around slowly. Her short black bob moved as she tilted her head toward a wall covered in symbols. Each sign lit up only for a moment, then went dark. "This isn’t just decoration," she said calmly. "Something here is waiting for the right order."

The small robot Pip floated a little higher, and his white-and-blue body turned toward the panel near the entrance. His LED eyes changed into thin lines, which meant he was focused. "I found an archived note," he announced. "The system is a safe archive. It responds to a mix of game symbols and real astronomical data."

Robo frowned. "Real? You mean from space?"

"Exactly," Pip replied. "This is not a random game. It is a precise mechanism. The correct order must be used."

Two Maps, Two Orders

Ami stepped closer to the panel. For a moment, two rows of symbols appeared on the display, then vanished. "Did you see that too?" she asked.

"Sure," Robo nodded. "They looked almost the same."

"That is why they may be important," the girl said. "When something looks too perfect, there is often one small detail missing."

The room answered with a soft sound, as if it had heard them. The symbols on the walls shone a little brighter, and for a moment a circle of light appeared in the middle of the floor. Then everything became quiet again. The three of them understood that the archive was waking up slowly.

Soon, two versions of the symbol order appeared again. One was simple and clean, and the other had a tiny change in one sign. At first glance, it looked unimportant. But the small difference was exactly where the satellite data showed weaker light and a shift in time.

"The first one is definitely right," Robo said quickly. He leaned forward as if he wanted to press the confirm field right away. "See the pattern? It repeats. It makes sense."

"Maybe," Ami said slowly. "But the satellite record shows something else too. In one place, the signal became weaker for a tiny moment. That changed the order."

Pip turned between them and projected small numbers into the air. "I confirm a difference. It is tiny, but real."

The Too-Fast Try

Robo crossed his arms. "If we wait too long, the room will close again."

"And if we make a mistake, we go back to the start," Ami reminded him. Her voice was still calm, but it carried a strong focus. "Let’s check it first."

Still, the tension floated in the air with the stardust. The boy wanted to help, so he chose the answer that felt right at first glance. Without waiting any longer, he pressed the order that seemed correct to him.

For an instant, everything lit up. The lights flickered, the symbols lined up into a thin row, and the room gave a deep tone. But then came a sudden reset. The holograms broke into sparks, the stardust spun like a soft whirlwind, and the whole space slowly began to close.

"Oops," Robo whispered.

"It’s only a reset," Pip said right away, so no one would get scared. "Not danger. It is a sign of the wrong combination."

Ami took her hand away from her glasses and looked at her friend. "You meant to help."

"But I rushed," Robo admitted. For a moment, he looked down. "I thought I saw it clearly. I let myself get carried away."

Meanwhile, the room kept shrinking a little at a time. It was not frightening, more like a book closing after one page was not quite right. The wall lights blinked red, and a calm countdown appeared.

The Quiet Warning

"We still have enough time," Pip announced. "If we are precise."

"Then let’s divide the work," Ami suggested. "I’ll compare the map pattern with the satellite record. Robo, you watch the time marks. Pip, prepare a clear view of both versions."

After a while, each of them was busy with a task. Around the room, smaller panels appeared, like a future schoolbook. One showed a star map, another showed time lines, and the third held a table of symbols.

Ami bent over the hologram and noticed that one sign in the second order had moved by only a tiny amount. "Here it is," she said at last. "Do you see? This symbol does not belong exactly here. At the time when the signal weakened, it moved one step further."

"Oh," Robo muttered. Now he was watching the time marks more carefully. "That’s why the first order seemed so convincing. It was simpler. But it wasn’t exact."

Pip projected a table with two columns. "Highlighted places match Ami’s finding. The rest is the same. The difference is really only in one section."

Robo smiled slowly. "So we had to trust not the first impression, but the data."

"And each other," Ami added.

That was the most important part. When they said their observations out loud, the whole puzzle started to make sense. Not quickly, but correctly. Not by guessing, but by facts. And that was the strength of their team.

The Stardust Key

"Let’s try again," Robo said, this time much more calmly.

The stardust moved gently, as if the room agreed. The symbols on the panel lit up in a new order. Ami confirmed them by the satellite record, Pip added the last number, and Robo pressed confirm only after everyone had nodded.

At that moment, the room opened.

The walls moved apart, and a thin beam of light shot out from the center of the archive. The stardust formed a shining stream that slowly turned above the floor. Then, in its middle, a small fragment of a key appeared. It was silver, with a soft blue glow, and on one side there was a carved mark that looked very much like the map sign on Niva-7.

"Look!" Ami cried.

Robo leaned closer. "That’s the symbol from the map… exactly that one."

Pip zoomed in right away. "Match confirmed. The key fragment has the same mark as the one on Niva-7."

The archive lit up once more, this time a little stronger. On the back wall, a short line appeared, glowing for only a few seconds: Niva-7 was not just lost. It had been disconnected from the signal network.

For a moment, silence filled the room. Even the stardust stopped moving.

"Disconnected?" Robo repeated softly. "Does that mean someone… turned it off?"

A New Path Beyond the Game

Ami bit her lip. "Or it happened on purpose. Not by accident."

Pip’s LED eyes changed into a slightly round shape, which meant he was thinking. "The text says it was disconnected from the signal network. That is an important clue. This is not the end, only a new piece of data."

The key fragment slid into a small opening in the middle of the floor, and for a moment, a warm golden flash came out of it. Then the system became calm again. The room no longer felt like a puzzle. Instead, it felt like a library that had just allowed them to look into the next chapter.

When the image became steady, Captain Lyra’s voice came from the control room. She had seen the archive result on the monitors and came closer to look at it in person. Her short silver hair shone softly in the panel light, and the green star emblem on her uniform glowed.

"Good work," she said calmly, but clearly. "You did not rush when it mattered. You checked the data."

Robo straightened a little. Praise from the captain always meant a lot to him. "I almost ruined it," he admitted.

"And then you stopped," Lyra replied. "That is just as important as the right answer."

Ami smiled. "It helped that we said things out loud."

The Last Clue

"Exactly," the commander agreed. "Trust in a team does not mean believing the first idea. It means listening to the quieter warnings too."

Suddenly, Pip gave a short beep. "I have one more signal."

Everyone turned toward him. The small robot projected a thin wave of light into the air. It did not come directly from the game. It was weak, but clear, and it pointed from another safe place on the station.

"That is not part of the program," Pip said. "It is something outside. But still on the station."

Ami looked at the new points of light. "So the second fragment may be hidden outside the game?"

Lyra nodded. "That is possible. And if it is, you will need to find where the clue leads. Not quickly, not today. First, safely and precisely."

Robo put his hands in the pockets of his orange jacket and looked at the key fragment. He no longer seemed impatient. He seemed determined. "Then let’s find out where that signal points."

"Together," Ami added.

"Together," Pip repeated happily, and his LED eyes shone like little stars.

At the end of the room, a faint new signal still glowed, and beside it waited a quiet question for the next answer. Who or what had disconnected Niva-7 from the signals? And why? The three of them knew only one thing: they already had the first key fragment. And the second clue was close by, even if it was not directly inside the game.

To be continued…
