Kde bolo, tam bolo, v malom lesíku žil malý zajačik menom Hopko. Mal mäkký hnedý kožúštek a dlhé ušká, ktorými počul každý šum v lese.
„Poď so mnou hľadať priateľov.“
Veverička si postavila domček vo vetvách dubu, ježko si urobil peliešok pod koreňmi a kačička si našla miesto pri malom jazierku vedľa stromu.
Od toho dňa už Hopko nikdy nebol sám. Každé ráno raňajkovali spolu, cez deň sa hrali a večer si rozprávali rozprávky. Veverička nosila všetkým oriešky, ježko zbieral pre všetkých sladké lesné jahody a kačička ich učila plávať v jazierku.
A ak nezaspali, hrajú sa tam veselo dodnes.
The Little Bunny Who Looked for Friends
2 min.
Once upon a time, in a small forest lived a little bunny named Hoppy. He had soft brown fur and long ears that could hear every sound in the forest. Hoppy lived alone in a small house under a big oak tree and often felt lonely.
One beautiful morning, Hoppy decided to go looking for friends. He packed three carrots that he had grown in his garden into his little backpack and set off on his journey.
First, he met a little squirrel who was crying under a tree.
„Why are you crying, squirrel?“ asked Hoppy.
„I lost all my nuts,“ sobbed the squirrel.
„Don’t worry,“ said Hoppy and gave her one carrot. „Come with me to look for friends.“
The squirrel became happy and hopped along with him.
A little further on, they met a small hedgehog who was also crying.
„Why are you crying, hedgehog?“ asked Hoppy and the squirrel.
„I lost my way home,“ said the hedgehog sadly.
„Don’t worry,“ said Hoppy and gave him the second carrot. „Come with us to look for friends.“
The hedgehog became happy and waddled along with them.
By a small stream, they found a little duckling who couldn’t swim because her wing hurt.
„Why are you sad, duckling?“ they all asked.
„I can’t swim with my sore wing,“ sighed the duckling.
„Don’t worry,“ said Hoppy and gave her the last carrot. „Come with us to look for friends.“
The duckling became happy and walked along with them.
When it started getting dark, Hoppy realized he had no carrots left and didn’t know how to get home. But then something magical happened!
The squirrel said: „I can see best in the dark, I’ll show you the way!“
The hedgehog added: „I know all the paths in the forest, I’ll lead us in the right direction!“
And the duckling exclaimed: „And I can swim along the stream that leads to Hoppy’s house!“
Together they returned to the big oak tree where Hoppy lived. And because they had become best friends, they decided to live together. The squirrel built a house in the oak’s branches, the hedgehog made a cozy home under the roots, and the duckling found a spot by the small pond next to the tree.
From that day on, Hoppy was never alone again. Every morning they had breakfast together, played during the day, and told stories in the evening. The squirrel brought nuts for everyone, the hedgehog collected sweet forest strawberries for all, and the duckling taught them how to swim in the pond.
And if they haven’t fallen asleep, they’re still playing happily there today.
