Seriál: Robo a stratená planéta Vek: Školák 10-12 Epizóda: 3/12

V hernej miestnosti bolo ticho len navonok.

Najprv krátky záblesk, potom pauza, potom znova to isté.

Nebol to hlas, skôr slabé pípnutie ukryté medzi dátami.

Robo sa zarazil. „To si počul?“

„Dobre,“ povedal.

Potom ďalšie a ďalšie. Ako keď vietor prechádza cez staré kovové trubky. Robo sa naklonil bližšie, no Ami zdvihla ruku.

„Počúvajme,“ zašepkala.

Z praskania sa konečne vynoril hlas. Bol unavený, ale pokojný. Znel, akoby patril niekomu, kto musel hovoriť v zhone, no nechcel znieť vystrašene.

„…tu výskumná stanica Orbis-9…“

Robo zažmurkal. „Orbis-9? To je názov stanice?“

Ami prikývla. „Áno. A podľa starých záznamov sledovala Nivu-7. Tá stanica mala kontrolovať signály a zapisovať zmeny na obežnej dráhe.“

Hlas v zázname pokračoval, no medzi slovami bol škaredý šum. Niektoré slabiky sa strácali, akoby ich niekto odrezal ostrým nožom.

„…Niva-7… signál… opakujeme, ak nás niekto počuje…“

Potom sa ozvalo náhle prasknutie a nahrávka sa zasekla.

„Nie,“ povedal Robo. „To už je všetko?“

Ami sa zamračila. Jej prsty sa pohli nad ovládacím poľom, no len veľmi opatrne.

„Niekto to zastavil,“ povedala Ami ticho. „Alebo niečo. Nevyzerá to ako náhoda.“

Pip sa priblížil a jeho očká zablikali. „Vedel som to.

Zo šumu vyskočila druhá veta, slabšia, no dôležitá.

„…žiadame o pomoc… automatický modul stále vysiela…“

Robo sa narovnal. „Takže to nebola len obyčajná správa.“

„Musíme nájsť správne dvere a pokračovať ďalej.“

Pip sa vznášal medzi nimi a vysielal krátke skeny. „Mám údaje. Systém nereaguje na hlas. Reaguje na nepresné potvrdenia polohy. Ak sa pohybujeme bez kontroly, pletie si to s votrelcami.“

Robo si prekrížil ruky. Chcel sa pohnúť hneď, no potom sa zhlboka nadýchol. „Dobre. Tak mi povedz, čo mám robiť.“

Ami sa naňho prekvapene pozrela. Potom prikývla. „Najprv sa zastav. Počúvaj zvuk. Nie všetko sa zmenilo. Len niektoré časti. Ak zistíme, kde sa chyba opakuje, nájdeme stabilnú cestu.“

V praskaní okolo nich sa miešali signály a symboly. Pip zachytil rytmus a ticho si ho prehral v malom holograme. Z chybového šumu vystúpili krátke opakujúce sa impulzy.

„Tu,“ ozval sa nadšene. „Počúvajte tento úsek. Tri krátke, jeden dlhý, dva krátke. A potom opakovanie.“

„A myslieť.“

Robo sa zasmial, tentoraz bez vzdoru. „Dobre, bolo to tvoje víťazstvo.“

Smer. Niekoľko symbolov a číslo, ktoré podľa Ami patrilo k starému navigačnému modulu.

Simulácia sa otvorila do bezpečnej veliteľskej zóny a v nej stála kapitánka Lira. Mala strieborné krátke vlasy, tmavomodrú uniformu so zeleným hviezdnym znakom a pokojný, prísny výraz.

Bol to len krátky údaj, no úplne stačil, aby všetkých nadchol.

„Smer potvrdený,“ zahlásil. „Navigačný modul. Starý. Pravdepodobne ďalší úlomok záznamu.“

Robo sa usmial a konečne sa prestal ponáhľať. „Takže sme nenašli všetko, ale našli sme dosť.“

Ami prikývla. „A hlavne sme zistili, že Niva-7 nebola celkom opustená. Aspoň jedno zariadenie tam dlho vysielalo pomoc.“

„A niekto to musel prerušiť,“ dodal Robo.

Ami sa naňho pozrela. „Presne. To je ďalšia otázka.“

„A potom sme pomohli ďalej,“ doplnil.

Robo and the Lost Planet, part 3: Record from the Hidden Station

The Story Begins

The game room was quiet only on the outside. On the big wall, the map lit up again. Robo, Ami, and Pip knew it well from the last few days. But this time, the data lines did not move as usual. They pulsed, changed color, and then returned, as if someone under the surface was drawing the same sign again and again.

Robo leaned forward. Blue light from the hologram reflected on his orange jacket, and his wrist device blinked softly.

"Look, it is changing again," he said quickly. "If we go now, maybe we can catch the trail before it disappears."

Ami pushed her AR glasses higher on her nose and narrowed her eyes. Her short black bob stayed neat, even as a new layer of data moved above them.

"Wait," she said calmly. "It is not random. The pattern repeats in the same sections. First a short flash, then a pause, then the same thing again. That is not chaos. That is a message."

Pip floated a little higher than usual. His white and blue shell shone in the light line, and his LED eyes opened wide.

"A message? Message. A message in data," he buzzed happily. "I am recording a micro signal. It is very small. Very hidden. Very… ah!"

From the center of the map, a thin wave of sound came loose, almost too quiet to hear. It was not really a voice, more like a soft beep hidden inside the data.

Robo stopped. "Did you hear that?"

"Yes," said Pip proudly. "And it is not only sound. There is an old recording there. Very old."

Ami looked at the repeating pattern again. "If the signal is in old data, then it is leading us deeper into the game. Maybe to something that was hidden on purpose."

The boy was already ready to run. But this time he took a breath, and instead of moving at once, he looked at Ami.

"Okay," he said. "First we check what kind of pattern it is."

Ami smiled. "Exactly."

Soon, a safe playback mode opened in front of them. It was not a dangerous window into the past, just a quiet holographic field where old data could be heard and studied without risk. In the middle floated a gray recording, with small errors and static sparkling around the edges.

"Starting the recording," announced Pip.

At first, there was only crackling. Then more crackling. It sounded like wind passing through old metal pipes. Robo leaned closer, but Ami lifted a hand.

"Let us listen," she whispered.

At last, a voice came out of the static. It sounded tired, but calm. It belonged to someone who had to speak fast, but did not want to sound scared.

"…research station Orbis-9…"

Robo blinked. "Orbis-9? Is that the station's name?"

Ami nodded. "Yes. And according to old records, it watched Niva-7. That station was supposed to check signals and record changes in orbit."

The voice in the recording kept going, but there was ugly static between the words. Some parts were missing, as if someone had cut them out with a sharp knife.

"…Niva-7… signal… repeat, if anyone can hear us…"

Then there was a sudden crack, and the recording froze.

"No," Robo said. "Is that all?"

Ami frowned. Her fingers moved very carefully over the control field. "This is not normal damage. Look at the place where it stopped."

On the screen, a highlighted part of the wave appeared. A piece was missing right in the middle of the sentence.

"Someone stopped it," said Ami softly. "Or something did. It does not look like an accident."

When Things Start to Change

Pip moved closer, and his little eyes flashed. "I knew it. The data seam is cut cleanly. Not broken. Interrupted."

"Did you hear this too?" Ami asked.

She played the recording again, but only a few seconds later. Out of the static, a second sentence jumped out, weaker but important.

"…requesting help… automatic module still transmitting…"

Robo straightened up. "So it was not just an ordinary message."

"No," said Ami. "It was an emergency message."

Then the whole simulation shook.

The wall with the hologram split into sections. The floor under their feet changed into a network of white lines, and the doors in the distance began to move around. The symbols flashed blue, then red, as if someone was trying to decide if the team was welcome or if protection should start.

Pip made a short surprised beep.

"Warning," he announced. "Station protection program activated."

From the ceiling came a cold synthetic voice:

"Unknown presences detected. Checking for breach in progress."

Robo turned around. The corridor that had led straight forward a moment ago now bent to the left. Then the same path split into three equal branches.

"This is bad," he said, already a little impatient. "We have to find the right door and keep going."

Ami looked around. Her face was calm and focused, the kind of face Robo knew when she had control of a problem that looked confusing.

"Wait," she said. "If the program reacts to our movement, then we should not push it. We should understand what confuses it."

"But time is running," Robo argued.

"That is exactly why," she answered. "If we guess, we will make more mistakes. If we notice the pattern, we save time."

Pip floated between them and sent out short scans. "I have data. The system does not react to voice. It reacts to unconfirmed position changes. If we move without control, it thinks we are intruders."

Robo crossed his arms. He wanted to move right away, but then he took a deep breath. "Okay. Then tell me what to do."

Ami looked at him in surprise. Then she nodded. "First, stop. Listen to the sound. Not everything changed. Only some parts. If we find where the mistake repeats, we will find a safe path."

Around them, signals and symbols mixed in the crackling noise. Pip caught the rhythm and quietly played it back in a small hologram. From the broken sound, short repeating pulses came out.

"Here," he said excitedly. "Listen to this part. Three short, one long, two short. And then again."

Ami bent closer to the sound wave. "It is not just an error rhythm. It is a spread code. Someone hid a mark here."

"And what does it mean?" Robo asked.

Ami narrowed her eyes. "Wait a moment."

On the display, a colored graph began to spin. She compared the time gaps, and when the boy leaned closer, he saw that some parts of the static made the same exact slope.

"The recording was cut at the most important moment," she said after a while. "Not because it broke. Someone ended the transmission in the middle of the sentence. And before that, one more pattern was sent."

"Like a warning?" Robo asked.

"More like a direction marker."

Pip lit up more brightly. "I have a match. The short pattern is like an old navigation mark. The kind used in modules that mapped routes."

"A navigation module?" Robo repeated.

"Yes," said Ami. "An old navigation module somewhere on the station. Or near it. The recording says there is another clue there."

Then the corridor shook again. One of the flashing symbols changed from red to yellow. It did not look like danger now. It looked more like hesitation.

An Important Moment

"The system is calming down," Pip reported. "It does not see us as a threat when we do not move in a chaotic way."

Robo smiled a little. "So we only had to stop panicking?"

Ami gave him a quick look. "And think."

He laughed, this time without any protest. "Okay, that was your win."

"Ours," she corrected him.

Slowly, the station image cleared. The strong red tones faded away, the corridors stopped bending, and softer light appeared above them. From the security core, a new voice came, less sharp now.

"Security mode: stabilized."

"Great," whispered Pip. "A short window has opened to add more of the recording."

And right then, from the gray piece of the recording, the last connection of the voice came through, now clearer:

"…if anyone finds us, tell them… Niva-7 was not abandoned… the automatic module kept sending help for too long…"

Then the sound broke apart again, but this time one exact detail remained. A direction. A few symbols and a number, which Ami said belonged to an old navigation module.

The simulation opened into a safe command zone, and there stood Captain Lyra. She had short silver hair, a dark navy uniform with a green star emblem, and a calm, strict expression. She did not look angry. She looked like someone who wanted everything under control.

"You handled that well," she said after a short pause. "You did not try to force your way past the protection. That is important."

Robo straightened up a little. "But now we have a new clue. The navigation module."

Lyra nodded. "Within the safe frame, you may continue. But only if you are careful. No sudden jumps. First verify, then act."

Ami looked at the mark on the screen. "There was another recording there, right?"

"Maybe," answered the captain. "And if there was, let it be found the right way."

Pip projected a small map, and his eyes glowed with excitement. On it, an arrow pointed toward the old module. It was only a short piece of data, but it was enough to make them all excited.

"Direction confirmed," he said. "Navigation module. Old. Most likely another piece of the recording."

Robo smiled and finally stopped hurrying. "So we did not find everything, but we found enough."

Ami nodded. "And most important, we learned that Niva-7 was not completely abandoned. At least one device kept sending help for a long time."

"And someone must have cut it off," Robo added.

Ami looked at him. "Exactly. That is the next question."

Captain Lyra put her hands behind her back and looked from the children to the glowing module.

"You will find that answer later," she said. "Today, you did something important. First you listened to the evidence, and then you checked it."

Robo thought for a moment. Then he smiled quietly.

"And then we helped more," he added.

"Exactly," said Ami.

Pip beeped happily. "Team cooperation successful."

On the screen, a new mark stayed lit. The old navigation module was waiting to be opened. And somewhere beyond it, another voice from Orbis-9 might still be hiding, a voice that had asked for help long ago.

Robo, Ami, and Pip looked at the map one more time.

This time, no one rushed. They knew the next step would come soon. And they knew it would be worth doing the right way.
