Mal rád, keď bolo všetko upratané a pokojné.
Okolo neho rástli drobné kvietky a niekde v tráve si pochodoval maličký chrobáčik. Timo nechcel papierik zobrať zle. Nechcel ublížiť ani kvietkom, ani malým obyvateľom lúky. Preto zodvihol uši a zavolal: „Kamaráti, poďte sem!
Jemne.
„Výborne!“ zvolala Líza a urobila malý skok.
Líza šla vpredu a obzerala cestu.
„Hotovo,“ povedala Uma.
„A pekne,“ dodala Líza.
Bolo malé, čisté a pekné.
Na Malej lúke zavládol pokoj. Tráva zašumela jemne, kvietky sa pohli sem a tam a slniečko sa usmialo ešte jasnejšie. Zvieratká stáli spolu a chvíľu nič nehovorili. Stačilo im, že to vidia.
Nakoniec Timo ticho povedal: „Dnes Malej lúke pomohlo, že papierik našiel svoj košík.“
A lúka, akoby mu chcela odpovedať, zahučala mäkko a veselo.

The Animals of Little Meadow, part 1: The Paper on the Meadow
The Story Begins
Morning on Little Meadow was so quiet that even the soft rustle of grass could be heard. The sun was just waking up, and tiny drops of dew sparkled on the leaves. Timo the Bunny walked along the narrow path and looked at the clean track in front of him. He liked it when everything was neat and calm.
Then he stopped. In the grass by the path, he saw a small, colorful piece of paper. It was light as a feather and hid a little between the blades of grass. Timo tilted his head one way, then the other, and said softly, “Oh, a paper piece. It does not belong here.”
For a moment, he only stood and looked. The paper did not move. It only trembled a little in the wind. Tiny flowers grew around it, and somewhere in the grass, a little beetle was walking along. Timo did not want to take the paper in a bad way. He did not want to hurt the flowers or the small meadow friends. So he lifted his ears and called, “Friends, come here! There is a little paper piece on the path!”
After a while, Liza the Squirrel rushed in from one side. She stopped on a low bush branch, waved her fluffy tail, and looked down at once. At the same time, Bobo the Hedgehog slowly came out of the grass. He walked as he always did, carefully, slowly, but surely. Finally, Uma the Little Owl flew down quietly from above and sat on an old twig beside the path. The four of them gathered around the paper piece and looked at it closely.
“It is small,” said Liza quickly. “But we must take it out of the grass.”
Uma nodded with her calm eyes. “Yes. Gently. And without stepping on the flowers,” she said, short and kind.
Bobo moved a little closer. On his spines was a small green leaf, which he often carried as a helper. He took the leaf in his mouth, then used it to softly press the edge of the paper so it could come free from the grass. It moved just a little. Then a little more. In the end, the paper piece came loose without bending or breaking anything.
“Great!” cried Liza and made a little jump. “See? We just have to work together!”
Meanwhile, Timo stood at the edge of the path and watched the flowers. He looked here and there to make sure no tiny beetle or little leaf was in the way. When everything was safe, he smiled. “That is good,” he said. “The meadow likes peace.”
Then the animals went to the basket near the small bench. It was their place for small things that did not belong on the meadow. Liza walked in front and watched the path. Timo walked slowly by her side so he could see the ground everywhere. Bobo carried the paper piece carefully on his leaf. Uma flew low above them and quietly watched so no one would trip over a blade of grass.
The path was short and soft. The air smelled of grass and morning flowers. Before long, they were already at the basket. Bobo bent down, lowered the leaf, and gently placed the paper piece inside.
“All done,” said Uma.
“And nicely,” added Liza.
Timo looked at the clean path. The grass beside it was free again, and the flowers could sway in the wind. Suddenly, Little Meadow seemed to breathe a little easier. Nothing was disturbing the quiet morning now.
“Now the meadow feels better,” Timo said softly.
When Things Start to Change
Bobo sat down in the grass and smiled with joy. Even though he walked slowly, the paper piece got where it should go. Liza sat on her heels and swished her tail. Uma closed her eyes for a little while, as if she were listening to the soft rustle of the grass. Then they all looked at the neat little place. It was small, clean, and nice.
Peace filled Little Meadow. The grass rustled gently, the flowers moved this way and that, and the sun smiled even brighter. The animals stood together and said nothing for a while. It was enough just to see it.
In the end, Timo said quietly, “Today, Little Meadow was helped because the paper piece found its basket.”
And the meadow, as if it wanted to answer, hummed softly and happily. The air was clean, the path was clean, and everything was just as it should be. So the animals remembered that even a small paper piece needs its own place. Today, Little Meadow was helped because the paper piece found its basket.
